They decided to try taking her feeding tube out this morning!! If she continues to do well with nursing and taking a bottle she won’t need it again!

The doctors told Grace today that they expect Lyla to be able to come home in the next week or two!! How awesome is that?!? Grace’s birthday is next Saturday, so that would be a great present!

Lyla has had her nose cannula (the thing that gives her air) out for a while now and she is doing great!!
Please pray for both Lyla and Grace on nursing. It’s going ok, but just pray that it improves. Thanks!

Lyla is about to be moved to another room located in what they call the transition pod. This means Grace and I can spend the night with her tonight!!!! Our first time to spend the night together as a family!! We are pumped! Thank you Jesus!

Lyla started breast feeding today and Grace said she is doing great!!
7/16/2013: Lyla’s 2 month birthday!
Lyla is 2 months old today!! God is good! Thank you for all of your prayers and support that have gotten is to this point!
Grace got to bottle feed Lyla yesterday and she said that she took all the breast milk she gets for her feeding, 39 mL, though the bottle! Great news!
Lyla gets some shots today and tomorrow also I believe. They said some babies don’t have much of a reaction and some do. They said that she might have to significantly increase her air flow again depending on how she takes it. So please pray that she would not have much of a reaction, and that she would tolerate it well! Thanks!

I got to feed Lyla a bottle Friday. Her first bottle, she did so good!
She is now 4lb 8oz!

Lyla is now 4 lb 5 oz!
Also she is literally on the lowest flow setting for her air, she is so close to boot needing supplemental air! Praise God!!
